2000 GMC Envoy
For 2000, the GMC Envoy continues to be a hybrid of a truck and a luxury passenger
car. And it continues to be upgraded with new standard features, even if it has
been a model for only two years. It is still a powerful truck with impressive
towing capabilities but is now more equipped with features.
The Envoy still comes as a single trim, it being considered a premium trim of
the GMC Jimmy. The powerful powetrain was retained this year, as it still uses
the Vortec 4.3 liter V8 engine that produces 190 horses and 250 lb-ft of torque.
Standard transmission equipments remain unchanged like the 4-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive and tow/haul mode. The reliable Auto Trac 4WD that automatically
engages the all-wheel drive system whenever needed is still a standard feature,
as well as the 4-wheel disc brakes and ABS.
The 2000 GMC Envoy is still very luxurious, much to the envy of competitor SUVs
that comes less equipped with standard features. And for 2000, GMC gives it more.
With the new Monterey Maroon metallic color come the standard eight-way power
passenger seat and the two-position-memory driver's seat. The interiors are still
power packed with the all power seats, windows, mirrors and door locks. Standard
amenities are still present like the Bose audio system complete with a 6-CD changer,
computer controlled climate control system, and the optional OnStar Communication
System.
