2005 GMC Envoy

Already with four trims in three variants, the GMC Envoy would yet expand for the year 2005. It will again introduce another model for both the Envoy and the Envoy XL, the Denali trim, a trim once only available for the GMC Yukon. And since the Denali trim was the extra-luxurious trim for the GMC Yukon, we can expect that this trim will feature more luxurious amenities and optional features for the GMC Envoy.

Apart from the new Denali trim, the GMC Envoy remains basically the same, both in powertrain features and amenities. All models are still equipped with the Vortec 4200 Inline 6-cylinder engine while the premium XL and XUV models can be equipped with the more powerful Vortec 5300 V8 engine. The Denali will also have the V8 engine but it will feature the Displacement on Demand (DOD) technology, a technology present on the next generation of Vortec™ 5300 engines. All models still use the same 4-speed automatic transmission system and the 4WD models have the AutoTrac system.

In the inside, the 2005 GMC Envoy remains unchanged. It still features the same amenities such as dual-zone air conditioning, CD stereo, power windows and locks, electric rear window defogger and others. The SLT trim comes with added features just as it has in 2004. The interior for the Denali trim, though, would be quieter because of the installation of a new extensive interior noise reduction package.
