GMC Envoy Review
The GMC Envoy is GMC's line of mid-size SUVs that offers not just the power and
capability of the traditional SUV but also the comforts and conveniences that
seems to be found only in passenger sedans. It was first introduced in 1998 as
a premium model of the GMC Jimmy and when the latter was removed from the GMC
line up, the GMC Envoy became the standard line of mid-size SUVs for GM's GMC
division.
The present GMC Envoy is available in three variants with four trims each. The
first is the regular GMC Envoy, which is the same Envoy introduced as a premium
GMC Jimmy trim in 1998. The second variant, the
GMC Envoy XL, was introduced when it was redesigned in 2002. The third and most innovative
variant was introduced in 2004 as the GMC Envoy XUV. Another model will be released
in 2005 and will be called the GMC Envoy Denali.
